Africa Advent: The Full Truth

God made creation and it was perfect…

But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:4

And a Great Lie came and echoed throughout the world’s many generations. 

“You don’t need God.” 

With that we’ve believed that God will not make us happy. He will not fulfill us. A lie that, every single day, we hear hissed into our ears by society, culture, politics, media, money and so much more.

We hear it and we believe it. We’re broken because of it. All of creation is broken because of this Lie.

We run and we hide from God, because we’ve believed the lie. We try to forget God, but how can we? All creation indicates there’s a Creator. The heart can’t deny Him, but it tries.

Try as we may, He never gives up. The serpent, Satan, gives us this lie that we might experience death and separation from God. But God himself came to give us Life Everlasting—a full truth. And He delivered it Himself in human form.

"Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. For just through the disobedience of one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of one man the many will be made righteous." Romans 5:18-19
